For nearly 20 years, Kelley Whiter, J.D., has helped nonprofits flourish by inspiring generosity, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening organizations across South Florida and beyond. She is committed to empowering young people and is excited to lead Philanthropy Tank as it nurtures the next generation of community CHANGEmakers.
Kelley began her career as an attorney after earning her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law. She eventually moved into the nonprofit sector, where she found her calling working alongside philanthropists, lay leaders, and community partners to expand programs and cultivate healthier, more resilient organizations. Throughout her career, Kelley has raised more than $80 million. She has led major campaigns, shaped organizational strategy, and built high-performing teams that delivered meaningful results. Before joining Philanthropy Tank, she launched kw Philanthropy Partners, a boutique consulting practice that advises nonprofits, philanthropists, and foundations on donor strategy and sustainable impact. She previously served as Chief Development Officer at Ferd & Gladys Alpert Jewish Family Service, where her leadership produced record-breaking fundraising and the successful launch of the agency’s transformational 50th Anniversary Campaign.
Kelley is deeply rooted in Palm Beach County and finds joy in giving back. She volunteers with several local nonprofits that reflect her values and the causes she cares deeply about. She is also a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Palm Beach County Chapter, where she values the camaraderie and shared commitment of fellow fundraising professionals.
Kelley lives in Lake Worth Beach with her husband and their three rescue cats. She loves being outdoors and is an enthusiastic hiker, runner, and cyclist.
