About This Project

Art for the Soul is a student-led mentoring program that provides music and art classes to migrant children facing economic hardships at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Worth.

Apart from its music focus, Art for the Soul collaborates with organizations like the Children’s Services Council, JazzPath, Lake Worth Herald, and the PBC Foodbank to provide children and their families with their essential school supplies. Since receiving funding, a total of 50+ children have graduated from Art for the Soul. In 2020, the program grew to 23 students in the music program, 24 in the tutoring side, and 20 in the arts program.
